The new Haizea Wind plant is inaugurated in the Port of Bilbao

Haizea Wind Group has inaugurated its wind towers and offshore structures manufacturing plant in the Port of Bilbao following an investment of around 60 million euros, with an expected annual turnover of between 100 and 160 million euros, depending on the product mix.

The lehendakari Iñigo Urkullu, among other authorities, attended the inauguration of this plant, which will start initially with more than 50 employees but will have a workforce of more than 300 by the end of the year.

The plant of Haizea Wind, an industrial group based in Bilbao, will have a manufacturing capacity of around 300 offshore tower sections per year, 50 metres long and up to 8.6 metres in diameter, and 100,000 tonnes of offshore foundations up to 10.5 metres in diameter.
